MOSES YOFEE TRIO - MYT (2025)
Enveloped by an autumnal atmosphere and the scent of petrichor, I listen to this album for the first time.
And wow, how great it sounds!
Broken rhythms, delicate ambiances, and only a few vocal tracks.
...somewhat like abstract photography, where the composition itself is valued, not because of the ever more oppressive presence of people and everyday scenes that no one cares about, in fact they degrade with their dull and unremarkable indifference.
Plenty of skill, just the right amount of electronics... an album that doesn’t lead you anywhere because it’s you who chooses which (inner) landscapes or (outer) settings to link with the auditory stimuli coming from these tracks.
