Asymmetrical Hearing: Notes from a Sbilenco Ear

KERALA DUST - An Echo Of Love (2025)

Well played, with clear, decisive, and clean sounds. Hypnotic rhythm. The singing is almost bored, which reinforces the sense of snobbery in this strange album. Strange because it is, after all, simple and not exactly innovative; it recalls both the well-behaved boy scouts Belle & Sebastian and Depeche Mode. And yet... you continue to listen to it with pleasure. Sometimes, settling into well-made simplicity isn't bad. As long as it's done in small doses.

An overall enjoyable album.
